Norman Holt RIP

I knew Norman Holt well as we started work at Rolls-Royce as apprentices in 1949 and were class-mates at Derby Technical College for many years. His Dad was a local builder and Norman was the first of our group to own a car.  This was a Sunbeam Talbot sports car with a removable fabric top, a much better "crumpet catcher" than the old motor bikes that the rest of us had.
Before leaving RR to open the shop, Norman worked as a Jig and Tool Designer in the drawing office on Nightingale Road almost opposite the bike shop.
A real nice guy was Norman and so sad to read of his passing.
