This excellent book by Mark Higginson makes interesting reading as it documents the history of some of our local railways which are now our local cycle routes.
If you have a copy you will be pleased to know that may be worth £70 - at least that's what a bookseller was asking for a copy at the recent model railway exhibition in Derby's Roundhouse.
