Velodrome News

After many months of waiting, we can now get an idea of what the outside of the Velodrome is going to look like and this is it. The building has morphed through a variety of colours since the structure was first covered with aluminium sheeting, through black, blue, and brown plywood
The three colours of the outer skin represent the gold, silver and bronze of the winners medals.
Personally, I find it appearance somewhat disappointing, but maybe I will grow to appreciate it more in the years to come when it has weathered.
It will certainly be noticeable from a distance.
