With nowhere else to go the floodwaters once more affect both the Mickleover Greenway and the surounding countyside.
Meanwhile beneath the Greenway at Heage Lane, Etwall, this van was marooned, it's driver having thought that such a high vehicle would be able to get through OK.
On the soup day, I noticed that the sandbags in front of the bungalows had been built up to double height, except for one bungalow which had removed all the bags to make access easier! There is always one. But in any case, judging from your photo, double height was probably not enough to keep back the flow.
