Leicester Sky Ride

Come along on Sunday next to the Sky Ride in Leicester.  Join the thousands of cyclists out on the traffic-free City Centre streets and/or give the local Sustrans Rangers a hand on their stall in the Market Place.
Good pub (Weatherspoons) next door for a pint and a meal.
Travel with your folding bike from Derby on the Skylink bus which leaves half-hourly from Derby Bus Station all the way to Leicester via EMA, or by train (details please Peter), or you could even cycle there on NCN Route 6 if you are feeling energetic.
Ride starts at 10am but runs until 4pm. Would suit slow cyclists.

For more details of the ride and all the accompanying route-side activities follow THIS LINK  which includes a video of last year's event.

See you there!

Wot!! We aren't riding there and back as well? No stamina, these days.
Trains leave Derby station at 08:50, 09:51 and 10:52 (and no, the next one is not 11:53 - its 11:48). Journey time just over the half hour.
Returns from Leicester are 16:04, 16:54 and 17:36.
A day return is £9.60 - less if you have a railcard.
There are, theoretically, only 2 cycle spaces on these trains so a folder is best.
