An item, sent out from FoDos (Friends of Darley Open Spaces) today that may interest some of our group.

Some FoDOS members took a walk with DCC along the new cycle/pedestrian path
on the east side of the River Derwent near Handyside Bridge. The plan is to
plant whips and bluebells along the edges of the path.
Clive Keble, one of our members offered to supply whips from the Million
Tree Project.
The upshot is that we have planned a morning of planting on Saturday 31st
March 2012 from 9.30 to 12.
And you are invited to join us!
Meet at the carpark on City Road, nearest Handyside Bridge. DCC will
supply spades but I would suggest you bring gloves/anything that you normally
use to protect yourself while gardening.
Kind regards
Ali
FoDOS Secretary

Sadly, this date is also the Open Day at Statfold Barn Railway which some of us are attending.
