Connect 2 at Conkers

In Derby we did not get a Connect 2 project. The £50m was spent elsewhere.  Perhaps we didn't need one, or perhaps we didn't deserve one (Aaaahhh!).
Be that as it may, there was a justifiction on  NCN Route 63, the Ashby Wolds Trail, where this fine cycle path is now in the final stages of construction.
It makes the final link in the five mile circular Conkers Circuit, also making a nice run all the way from Albert Village to Measham.
Just ahead, on the left is the Albert Village Lake, where on a fine day you may see Shawn Brotherhood out in his canoe.
