Anyone intrested?
Dear Les,
We hope that all your preparations for Bike Week are going well – only one week to go! We will be in touch after Bike Week again, with news about evaluation and how to keep in touch, but for now please find below a request from one of the Bike Week partners – British Cycling - who are launching a fantastic initiative over the summer to get more new and returnee cyclists out on bikes. Please note – if you have any queries please contact British Cycling direct on: 0161 274 2063
Best wishes,

Play your part in the cycling revolution – help to recruit British Cycling Ride Leaders.
Dear Partner
This summer British Cycling is teaming up with Sky to develop a new and exciting cycling programme. The aim is to get more people out on their bikes, enjoying the outdoors and experiencing the fun they can have on two wheels. To help us with this we are looking for British Cycling members and cycling enthusiasts to join us in becoming Ride Leaders.
Between July 1st and October 31st we’ll be rolling out routes across London , Leicester, Manchester , Glasgow , Preston and the surrounding areas around which we will lead cyclists of varying experience. Our Ride Leaders will be there to give riders tips about cycling, help them gain confidence and generally show them how enjoyable cycling can be.
Ride Leaders could be qualified Coaches, Bikeability Instructors or members of clubs with experience of leading within the club environment. Some of the rides will also be on the public highway, so Ride Leaders should regularly ride on the road and be confident riding with traffic.
We are looking for approximately 300 people to lead these rides and play a crucial part in promoting cycling as an entertaining recreational activity. Each Ride Leader will receive a day’s free training where they can be given tips and pointers to be a better Ride Leader (and to make sure their cycling skills are in tip top condition), a branded jersey and payment for each ride that they lead. If a Ride Leader is not already a British Cycling member, we will also give them a year’s free Everyday Cycling membership!
It would be very much appreciated if you could help us promote this opportunity through your networks by forwarding this email to your appropriate local cycling partners and members
If you, or anyone you know, are interested just click on the link below or phone 0161 274 2063 for further details and to find out how to register to become a qualified Ride Leader as part of this exciting new initiative.
