Following hot on the heels of Bike Radar Live, and last weekend's Sustrans Festivol at Penrith, we have a work session on Wednesday next (10th June).
Hardly a Work Day, as we are just installing a new seat on R672 at Breadsall Station. We have done so many of these that it should take only a couple of hours from 10am. All tools suplied, just bring your muscles and know-how.
Completion of this job will bring us a £50 grant from Action Earth, the environmental charity.
Next Sunday June 14th is our big annual Biking Barbecue in it's 6th year and we are hoping for record turnout.
We go from Mickleover Station at 12.30pm and there is a linking ride from Derby Market Place run by CTC. This is our last run to Etwall Leisure Centre since the new Centre is almost complete and will be open later next month.
The swimming is free but the BBQ is not.
Marshals required. Please be at start for 12 noon.
Another ride on Saturday 27th June with similar starting procedures, but this time to Smerrill's Farm at Radbourne where there will be tours of the farm. If you like goats, one not to miss. Needless to say, another BBQ, with profits to Sustrans.
