Rangers Visit to Midland Railway Centre

Utterley Butterley Ride
Final arrangements for this Rangers Outing are as follows.
Wednesday 11th March
Meet at Exeter Bridge 10am for the ride to Butterley. We go via Little Eaton, where we take a look at the disused railway which we hope will one day be converted to a Greenway. Then go through Denby where it ends, and onto the tarmac surface of the Ripley Greenway at Marehay, which takes us to the Midland Railway Centre entrance, where our tour guide, Stuart Smith, will meet us.
There will be a buffet lunch and a tour of the site with it's comprehensive and fascinating facilities.
Sadly no trains will be running so far as we know.
Anyone travelling there by transport other than bike please arrange to be there for 12 noon. Also applicable to anyone cycling other than from Derby.
We must know exactly who is coming (for the food order), so please mail me if you wish to come along.
Although the meal is nominally free, I think it only fair that we should make a donation to the Railway Society's funds, so perhaps those partaking would bring along 3 or 4 shiny pound coins, or maybe even a fiver.
24th February
Application list now closed. Ten Rangers have booked.
