Derby's New Bridge

The new pedestrian/cycle swing bridge which spans the River Derwent from Cathedral Green to Stuart Street, between Exeter Bridge (Derwent Street) and Causey Bridge (St. Alkmund's Way) is now almost complete and may be opened this coming weekend.
This is a part of the Cathedral Green development which has closed NCN R54 alongside the Silk Mill Industrial Museum for some months.
Associated with the new bridge is a new cyclepath on the opposite bank, with spurs onto Stuart Street, Phoenix Street and Mansfield Road.
Lower picture shows the bridge in the parked position and the upper picture shows the new cycle path looking towards Exeter Bridge.
