We are invited by the Newark Rangers to their ride next Saturday 3rd September.
Details are:-
The ride start is from Newark Castle Railway Station at 10am and the ideal train from Derby arrives there at 9.50am, having left Derby at 8.39am. Fare is £9 or £7.50 with Railcard.
Total cycling mileage believed to be about 20 miles with a ride time of about 6 hours including stops.
Sounds good - a train ride, a bike ride, and plenty of food and drink available, so should appeal to Derby Rangers.

Dont forget the 2-bike limit on these local trains. Folders recommended if you have one - the route will be fairly flat.
Hope to join you Les but will travel by car to Newark. There is a large cheap car park at the station and the close by cattle market. Phil Harris
