All Good Things in Etwall

In Etwall village, we have now some useful safety improvements in the area adjacent to the Leisure Centre.

The most significant, of course, is the Toucan crossing, now fully operational, and the shared cycle/pedestrian path leading to and from it on both sides of the road.
Also a continuation of this path around the corner to the John Port School entrance, together with a new bus shelter, and under construction behind the barriers (left) a new car park for both the school and the Leisure Centre, which will mean (we hope) that senior pupils with cars will not park them all day in the cycle lanes through the village.

Our walking group have had trouble on occasions crossing this road to get to the bus stand back to Derby.
This situation will not now arise any more.

And what's more, we have two litter/dog bins within yards of each other as witnessed in the picture!
