Signs

A few photographs here of some unusual and interesting signs which I have come across in various parts of the country.

You don't see this very often. Photographed near Poolewe on the West Coast of Scotland.

Another one from Scotland, this being at Benderloch just North of Oban.

From nearer home, a sign put up by the contractors during construction of the Etwall stretch of Route 54.
We don't know if any employees were actually dismissed for this offence.
Alternatively "Please don't  p**s  in the cement mixer, as it makes the concrete a funny colour and makes it too sloppy"

Not actually a sign, but I believe, a badge for the Girl Guides.
No further comment on that.
Now this is a sign that I like.
It targets both agressive cyclists who don't have (or ring) a bell and won't slow down for pedestrians, and also walkers who stand blocking the path.
Seen on NCN Route 5 near Chester.

An unusual direction sign at Blacon Station on NCN Route 5 near Chester.

Welcome sign also at Blacon Station.

And this, my favourite picture of our Signing Guru, Peter Ford.
Not a bad picture of the sign either.
He, and the post were actually vertical, but the angling adds to the drama, I think.
