In today's Derby Evening Telegraph (21st March 2011) is an item reporting that the work to replace this bridge is starting today, but will not be finished until sometime next year!

And a few more details on this from the Derbyshire Cycle Strategy Meeting in Matlock last week. The bridge is being fabricated at present, and should be delivered to site in May. Ground clearance starts this week. It is a 40 week BW contract. I think that we should arrange a Rangers Ride to have a look when the bridge is on site, say end May or early June.
