Vegetation Control

The Mickleover Greenway is being transformed by Derbyshire County Council who have started a major cutback of the path-side vegetation using a tractor powered flail. Last week the section between the A516 underpass and Bearwardcote Gate was done and we expect to see more work done in the forthcoming weeks.
Also they are proposing to cut down some of the trees which are in a dangerous state and might be a hazard to users of the route.
