The Union Jack is not only under threat from the Scottish Nationalists who want to remove the blue and white St. Andrews cross from it, but also from the recent gale force winds which have removed the right hand side of our own flag marking the start of the Mickleover Greenway.
Presumably the missing part of our flag has been dispersed somewhere over Mackworth or Allestree.
Anyway, what's left of it looks pretty clean after being thoroughly washed by the torrential rain.

Or then again, the operating cord looks OK. Could be changed for a Red Ensign!
