Road Safety

Further to my recent post about an initiative to improve cyclist safety in respect of lorries which are turning left at junctions, we now have more info on the presentation which is coming to Pride Park Stadium on Wednesday 30th October.
It is being organised by the Velodrome builders Bowmer and Kirkland and is called "Changing Places Day". Visitors will be able sit in the cab of a very nice lorry (as I did at the Cycle Show) and see just how poor is the visibility for the lorry driver in traffic.
Also visitors  will be able to see what such a situation is like for cyclists, but we know that already.

Several other organisations will be present;
The Police, who will be able to Post Code mark your bike.
Sustrans
Cycle Derby
Le Tour Yorkshire
Bike Back Derby
DCC Connecting Derby Team and bicycle firms Moor Large, LoveVelo and Bespoke.

So an event worth attending if you can make it.

See you there.

What time?  Good question, and I don't know as yet, but will update this post when I find out.

10.30am until 3pm  I am informed. Thanks Nick.
