The Patter of Tiny Wheels

Another Origami Ride

The Folding Society are running one of their popular monthly rides in our area on Saturday next 13th April. All folding bike riders are welcome to come along.
The 23 mile ride starts at 11am from Long Eaton (White House CafĂ© on Tamworth Road) and the lunch stop is in Thulston close by Elvaston Park.
From Long Eaton the party will ride on minor roads through Lockington, Hemington, Castle Donington, and Shardlow, with a lunch stop at the Harrington Arms in Thulston.
After lunch the route goes via NCN Route 6 to Draycott and Church Wilne back to Long Eaton.

The Folding Society are usually pretty good at finding good weather for their rides and the lunch stops are legendary. No wonder that some members travel long distances to join the rides.

If you fancy going to Long Eaton by train they go from Derby at 9.20, 10.05 and 10.20 with a journey time of a mere 9 minutes so slightly faster than cycling (?).
Fares £4.10 single and £4.20 return. With a railcard this reduces to £2.70/£2.80.

A great ride with pleasant company and a good lunch stop at the Harrington Arms. See you all at the next local ride - October 12th from Duffield.
