I think that the bamboo bike is a better prospect, but as with so many alternative frame materials you really need the good old metal bits - steering head, bottom bracket, hubs, pedals, wheels and (rubber)tyres anyway. No wonder that the Fred Flinstones of this world did not invent the bicycle. Having none of these things must have made life difficult for the cave man inventors. And the weight of those solid stone wheels ...............
