Cycle Show 2011

*************************************************************************************
After previously been sited in London, the Cycle Show moves to the NEC for 2011 and so is much more convenient for us here in the Midlands. The dates are Friday 30th September, Saturday 1st October, and Sunday 2nd October.
Furthermore, advanced tickets are available at discount through Sustrans or the CTC.
Tickets on the door cost £15.50, but at discount only £12 including a booking fee of £1. There is a further discount of 50p for concessions.
To book, go to cycleshow.co.uk and add discount code SUS (or CTC).
Although you are required to state your proposed day of attendance, the tickets, which you print off after keying in your credit card details, are actually valid for any of the three days.
We are proposing to go as a party by train on the Saturday.
The doors open at 9.30am and close at 5pm.
Perhaps Peter Ford would add best rail details.

Sadly, since the last timetable change, there are no direct trains to or from Brum International so there will be a need to change at New Street both ways. I cant think of a "best" - there are 4 trains an hour Derby to Brum; fast services at 28 and 53 past the hour taking 35 mins and slower ones at 06 and 36 (50 mins journey). There are about 7 trains per hour to International from New Street so there is not much point in planning to get one specific service. Once on New Street station look for a service going to International itself, Coventry, Northampton or London Euston. All will call at Intl. Coming back again get to New Street, thence fast trains to Derby at 03 and 30, slower ones at 19 and 49. Enjoy!!
