Another picture from the archives of the very early days of Sustrans Rangers in Derbyshire.
The yokel with the sickle looks dangerous, but obviously not a cyclist as he wears his trouser clips just below the knee.

This was before the days of digital cameras and we had to draw the pictures from memory using a pen and Indian ink. The metal pen knib had just been invented, replacing the quill pen.
