We have visited this little heritage railway located near Blythe Bridge previously. On this weekend they are holding a steam gala where up to 6 steam locomotives are alleged to be working. In addition to this there is an on-site cafe (which we tried last time and found to be good) and there will also be local ales on tap at their in-house pub. A trip to Foxfield on 23/10 is therefore proposed. Participants can choose from cycling both ways or driving all the way or taking the train to nearby Blythe Bridge or some intermediate option. Perhaps the weather may decide for us. Details will be posted on the Ranger Diary.
