NCN Route from Egginton Junction to Dove Bridge
Following our application, Sustrans has allocated route number 549 to cover the section of route from Egginton Junction to Dove Bridge (the county boundary). The new number stickers are to hand but we await the completion of the final few metres of path from Birch Trees Farm to The Mease. Derbyshire County Council have been asked to intercede with the builder concerned on our behalf and we are hopeful that this will be effective. On the assumption that it will be done, a signing ride is provisionally scheduled for Saturday 16th October. The ride will start from Mickleover Station at 9.30am and those Rangers who live west of this point can join us as we pass along the route (Station Close, Etwall at 9.50am, Egginton Jct at 10am and The Mease at 10.15am - all times are approximate). If the ride has to be postponed due to the obduracy of the builder the entry in Ranger Diary will be updated so keep checking as the date approaches.

Good news. I shall keep checking, and have my waterproofs handy!
