A Ghost Story

Many months ago, I was talking to a lifelong Breadsall resident who told me that when he was young boy the station was derelict, and rumour had it that the building was haunted. No-one went there in the dark.
This morning Ian Dent, Steve Adams and I were talking to a young woman who has lived in Breadsall for only three months, and she walks her dog on the path morning and night.
She professes to be psychic and says she has seen the ghost of a man in a long black coat standing by the new crossing gates. He moved along "as if on wheels" and then vanished.
Could this be the ghost of Joseph Taylor, station master at Breadsall from 1932 until 1953? Picture above shows Mr.Taylor with Timmy, the station cat, in 1952.
She says that he was quite tall, and although Mr. Taylor is seated in the above photograph, he does appear to be fairly well-built.
So - is the station haunted? And should we be organising a night-time Rangers Ride to find out?
I wonder if Racecourse Siding (near to the Paddock PH) is also haunted, as two railwaymen were hit by a train and killed there in dense fog on the night of 13th November 1934.

Better ask Phil. He runs along there at night!
