Dragon Ride 18 - 22 May 2009

On the first day, we arrive at Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch

Soon after, we cross the Menai suspension bridge ...

... and arrive at Caernarfon Shawn is trying to out-run the Ffestiniog Railway train at Porthmadog ...
... but does not succeed

Portmeirion (the "Village" in the 1960s cult TV series "The Prisoner") seen from one of our mega-steep hills on the other side of the estuary

Keith with rare T6 Time Trail disc on the Bank of Scotland milepost at Builth Wells

One of the beautiful views on the way up to the Gospel Pass ...

A bit closer to the Gospel Pass, I have caught three of the others up, but OMG - Keith has taken the wrong road!!!

At Pontypwl on the last day, a well-deserved cuppa on Route 49. Peter has taken a longer and more strenuous route today

Just as I remember it ...potted history of a week...

Bikes, trains, breathtaking views, breathtaking hills, showers and rain(even a little sunshine),good food warm, comfortable accomodation with a friendly welcome), great company and great memories. Now Keith next time please take note the direction arrows in your hurry to be 1st to the top..that way you don't have to do the climb twice!!
