Conkers Rides Day 1
Still a few places left for the ride on Thursday from Conkers to see The Staffordshire Hoard at Tamworth Castle.
We leave at 11am from the path adjacent to the Conkers YHA/Camp Site.
Cars may be parked for free in the Conkers Discovery Car Park. Cycle from there on the Enstone Trail, crossing minature railway and NCN 63 to reach the start point
Free entry tickets for the exhibition are available from Shawn Brotherhood and we will enter the Castle at 1pm.
We stop for food on the way back at about 2.30pm at the Pretty Pigs Carvery just out of Tamworth. All you can eat for £3.69.
In the evening we take a short ride to a pub in Donisthorpe for a pint. The return ride will be along the unlit cycle path so don't forget your lights.
