Payback Team
The Community Service Payback Teams have been working hard on ground clearance on R54 throughout the Winter and have made a dramatic difference to the outlook between the A50 Tunnel and Badger's Bridge.
Soon we will have to curtail this work due to the bird nesting season, and so I wanted to get them to do some pruning elsewhere and have moved them from Etwall to Mickleover as of today.
They are now working in the glow worm area and I hope that we can get it tidy before the little creatures re-appear. Once that happens we can do no more work there until next Autumn.
We have had a couple of complaints from the public, saying that the cutting back has been too severe, but by far the majority of comments have been positive. You can't please all of the people all of the time.

Great job. Looking forward to counting even more glow worms this June - hopefully.
