Air Pollution in Derby

In a vain attempt to conform with government limitations on air pollution, Derby City Council are proposing to remove existing cycle lanes from Friargate so that traffic from Stafford Street (where there is excess pollution) can travel even faster as it speeds along our congested streets.

This will not cure the problem of course, but just move it somewhere else. It will however make cycling in Derby considerably less safe. 

Derby Cycling Group are arranging a protest ride at 11am on Saturday 16th February.
