El Cheapo Flags

Regular readers of this Blog (are there any?), will recall that back in April of this year, we reported on the ceremony of installing a new Union Jack on our flagpole at Mickleover Station.
Well, it only cost a couple of pounds on the internet, and it was "buy one get one free", but as happens with so many things, you get what you pay for, and here we are only 7 months later with our new flag in tatters after the recent gale force winds.

This is what it looked like in April.

And this is what it looked like this morning.

Needless to say, we will not be beaten by all this climate change stuff, and will be putting up a new flag very soon.

Rule Britannia!

Leave it as a good advert for Sustrans.

More carbon in atmosphere = higher global temperatures = more warm air over North Atlantic = more wind in Mickleover = tattered flag.

More cycling = less carbon in atmosphere = less flag damage in Mickleover.

Simples.

So true Martin, but Les received three flags for the price of one, more carbon to create Flags = less cash

Such is the world!
