With the advent of better weather, on Thursday 6th August, the Volunteer
Rangers managed to clear a greater amount of the trail than we have ever
managed before – This due to the use of mechanised machinery i.e. a strimmer
and mower. And, yes it was still hard work.
In the last wo years it has shown itself that such
mechanised help is essential to keeping the trail open.
I left early but I
have no doubt that due to exhaustion, the Rangers involved will sleep easily in
their beds tonight. And this was the second such day. Picture evidence herewith, We used the following machinery
An old Strimmer
An old reclaimed mower
The above effort can produce a trail ot be proud of
Many thanks to the workers for this supreme effort.
