A planning application by Miller Homes to build some hundreds of houses on the Hackwood Farm site adjacent to the Mickleover Greenway was rejected by the Derby City Council Planning Committee last night by a very narrow majority of one.
Council Officers had recommended acceptance.
No doubt the applicant will come back with a revised proposal.
Part of the site is in South Derbyshire and they have yet to vote on the issue.
