The Folding Society Ride this month is once again close to our area, being based at Blythe Bridge which is just the far side of Uttoxeter. Travel to the start by train (09.42 from Derby) or by the X50 bus which goes from Derby to Stoke at hourly intervals.
The ride distance is stated as 18 miles with a few hills.
No booking required - just turn up at the start which is at Heath House Farm Garden Centre, Caverswall Old Road, Forsbrook ST11 9JF at 10.30am for ride start at 11am. Caverswall Old Road is opposite Blythe Bridge Railway Station and the Garden Centre is signed from there.
The ride is based on the Churnet Valley Railway. Lunch at Froghall or at the Black Lion Consall.

Caution with the X50 bus. The basic service is two-hourly and the last departure from Blythe Bridge for Derby is 1542 on Saturdays.
