Last year we ran our Breadsall Biking Barbecue on Sunday 6th June and the turn-out was disappointing, although things were very different a week later at Etwall.
There were two reasons - firstly a clash with the very popular Chadesden Carnival, and secondly the weather, which was rather damp in the morning. We can't do much about the weather, but we can avoid a clash with the Carnival, so it has been agreed that we will run this year's event a day earlier, that being on Saturday 4th June.
Previous such events have always been on Sundays so this is a new venture but worth a try, I think.
