......... Oi met these tree fellahs, a-sawing today.
Actually there were four, and enough of this rubbish.
This is the tarmac stretch of NCN Route 6 which runs between Chellaston and Swarkestone Lock, alongside the derelict Derby Canal, where large willow trees have grown over the years.
Some of them are thought to be unsafe and a professional Sustrans team, under the direction of Ian (nearest to camera) are in the process of felling some of them.
The result of their labours here. Just the job for anyone with a very large wood burning stove.
