Developers of the new housing project at Old Station Close in Etwall have constucted a rather picturesque path giving access to R54 at Kingfisher Bridge.
As a novel way of crossing the small stream they put in a concrete base to make a ford through the water instead of building a bridge, (cheaper you see).
The water was only an inch or two deep until it rained last night. Today it is a foot deep and twelve feet wide!
Should we consider operating a ferry service or should we take swimming lessons?

How about a stall selling wellies (longish ones)?
To use an old corny joke. It only comes halfway up the ducks.
