The Trust is dedicated to the preservation of narrow guage industrial rail systems and will be operating train rides over a short section of track within the grounds of the Apedale Park. A grand open weekend is to be held on 18th/19th September and I am suggesting that we could take a train to Kidsgrove for a shortish ride to Apedale to see what is on offer. I have been reminded that I had double booked this day and that the other commitment takes precedence. It is my daughter-in-law's 30th birthday party that evening (and that of her twin sister) and we are commanded to attend (in fancy dress as well, would you believe?). Anyone who still wants to go can contact me and I will give them directions.
