Our expert team of seat fitters turned out again today to install a new seat at the NE end of the Breadsall Greenway.
The seat is financed by a £50 grant from Action Earth and is sited near to the top of the slope up to the A608 bridge, where it affords good views across the old railway cutting and provides a nice resting point for those who have walked or cycled up the hill.
The picture shows the team and the seat.
Left to right -
John Ratcliffe, Steve Adams, Ian Dent, and Alan Locke on the back row, with Mavis Ratcliffe and John Swan on the seat. Fizz the German Pointer puppy takes centre stage and was very well behaved.
We also installed two mini seats suitable for one person or two very close friends, these seats being affixed to the fencing either side of the Windmill Bridleway gates. These were made from timber left over from other projects.
Good coverage in the Derby Telegraph, hopefully soon to be followed up by advance publicity for the Breadsall Ride Barbecue next Sunday.

I note a small column in today's Derby Evening Telegraph, pointing out this feat of civil engineering.
Thanks John. See updated Blog.
