On October 16th 2009, Phil Harris led a Mystery Ride which ran along NCN 54 (on the Uttoxeter leg) taking us to Sudbury Prison, where we had a most enjoyable meal in the staff canteen which is open to the public, but not advertised.
So good was it that we resolved to go again sometime.
The date for our return visit is Wednesday 21st April and we hope that the weather will be as nice as it was in October.
You can start from Mickleover Station at 9.00am or Etwall at 9.30am, or meet at Don Amott's Cafe (Hilton) at 10am for a pre-ride drink of tea or coffee.
Please signify in "Comments" if you are coming along, so that we can inform Sudbury in advance of probable numbers.

Sadly I shall be doing my Community Service that day (Granddaughter sitting). I hope all those who go dont find the day too trying and that the meal is truly arresting. I look forward to seeing the photos (of Rangers in their Prison Uniforms)
I think most of us could do the ride in the Autumn when we are fit and hungry, but spring is too early for me.
Would have loved to join you all, but afriad I will be a work. Enjoy.
