A visit to London in December

The year is flying by (as they all seem to do these days). In order to book train tickets without mortgaging the house I propose that a date be agreed for what is becoming our annual pilgrimage. My suggested date is Friday 4th December and my provisional venue is Borough Market. This is only open Fridays and at weekends, hence this date. At the moment a ticket on the 11:01 to London and the 20:55 back (a fast train - into Derby at 22:36) would cost £13 each way, reduced somewhat with a Senior Railcard. Expressions of interest or alternate dates/venues welcomed.

As usual, we could convene in the evening at McGlynns for a good meal and a pint (or two).

I think that date will be OK for us. Will check with John when he returns this evening.

I've booked the trains so will be joining you. I've been to Borough Market before - very impressed.
