Challenge the Dragon

Challenge the Dragon (mini 5/6 day tour through Wales)
I am planning to ride the ' Challenge the Dragon ', Routes 8 & 42 in May 2009 (actual date not yet set)
which travels through 3 national parks in Wales: Snowdonia, The Brecon Beacons and The Black Mountains. The ride is listed as challenging in the Sustrans year book and does include quite a bit of climbing but as you would expect runs through beautiful scenery. It is my intention to start at Chepstow and take 4 to 6 days. 5 nights B&B. The ride is about 250miles, so 50miles per day. But I/we have to get there probably by train, so some adjustments are needed.
I can supply a typed route based on the NCN8A/NCN8B official maps for your information. Obviously this is only a starting point and if anyone is interested in joining me then please e-mail me and l will send you a route and we can discuss it. The intention is to enjoy (weather permitting) a tough yet easy paced tour through this lovely part of Wales..
I have ridden half of the ride starting at Holyhead, 2 years ago and got sunburnt and very wet for my efforts but it had such an effect on me I want to do it again and redo the ride.
Plan: Train to Chepstow or Holyhead, the ride (pre-book 5 nights B&B), return by train.

May is a very difficult month for me as we always have Well Dressing on the third weekend in May then the Biking BBQ at the end of May.
Otherwise sounds an interesting but 'difficult' ride.
